Happy 50th Birthday Bonnie

Today is my sisters 50th birthday, the day she has been regretting for awhile as much as I will be in a few years! She is a great sister who is always there for me when I need her and always supports me in my coming to Arizona to my kids special occasions. She is the best Nana to her two grandchildren, and manages to go to school, hold a full time calling, and work full time, don't know how she does it all! Happy Birthday Sis. love you lots!

Homecoming Dance!!

Well, it has happened, my baby girl got asked to her first Mesa High Homecoming Dance, all of this is very exciting but also very emotional for this mom, just don't like to see her growing up so fast. With my boys it was pretty easy getting them ready for a dance, they either wore a tux or shirt, pants and tie, this will be fun trying to find a dress that is perfect for my Kell. Congrats JaKelle, I know your super excited to go and with who asked you! WARNING you know your dad and brothers are going to sit this boy down for a long interview, HEHE.

found on the porch, cute cute idea!

YM/YW Jumpstreet Activity

The young men and young women went to Jumpstreet for our combined activity, its a room wall to wall full of trampolines, the girls got pretty creative with their pictures doing flips, back flips and aerials. We had the place for two hours and by the time they left everyone was wiped out! Fun place to go if you are looking for an activity of party, they even have dodge ball tournaments, they didn't last long doing that with the guys throwing the ball so hard.

Hurray for young women's

Sisterly Love!

This is my mother-in-law Sherry, and her sister Celia, Celia is preparing to undergo a bone marrow transplant this week and her sister is her donor. Sherry has been such a trooper, determined to take everything the doctors throw her way without a second thought. Today is the third day of the bone marrow harvest for Sherry, the goal is 10 million cells and they also start infusing Celia with Sherry's cells. Our prayers and thoughts go out to Sherry and Aunt Celia and to their families, Im so grateful for such special people in my life.

Till We Meet Again!

Today it is six years since my sister Pam, passed away. She suffered 10 years from leukemia when it finally took her. I miss her. I will always remember our trips to the cabin, she would always sleep down in the cold basement and would put on Young Frankenstein, I loved the time we went horse back riding, she could really ride that horse. She was famous for talking back wards my favorite was listening to her tell the Goldy Lock and the three bears story . I miss you Pam, and love you very much.

Coming Home!!

This will be my last post of our experience picking up Jesse from his mission, we left the Dominican Republic early in the morning and flew to Florida, we then had a 5 hour yes 5 hour layover. We found us something to eat and then sat or for some of us found a spot on the floor and slept awhile. It was so cold in the airport that Lynn went and bought a sweatshirt to wear, he doesn't buy anything the whole trip and he buys a sweatshirt in the airport, not even from the DR. What an awesome experience it was to be able to go pick up Jesse from his mission, I know not everyone gets that chance, so we feel very lucky to be able to have that chance!

Twenty years today!

Today marks 20 years since my sister Michelle was called home from a fight with cancer, I think of her each day and miss those fun times we would have going shopping and driving around laughing and sometimes crying together. She was truly an amazing person, a great sister to me and an amazing mother!! Till we meet again, I love you Michelle.

"We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again."
