Plantar Fascitis?? OUCH

Yes, this is what I have, started in Utah, after the reunion hike I went on, I remember when Josh had this in hight school and if I knew it hurt this bad I think I would of had more sympathy for him, or maybe Im just a big baby. I have been icing, stretching, rubbing, wearing my orthotic inserts in my shoes the foot doctor made for me, not going to the gym and I think it is finally feeling better. This is sure not what I need just before I leave for the Dominican Republic!!

Inflammation (irritation and swelling with presence of extra immune cells) of the plantar fascia can cause heel pain and make walking difficult. Some risk factors for development of this problem include foot arch problems (both flat foot and high arches), obesity, sudden weight gain, running and a tight Achilles tendon.

Schwieder Reunion 2010

This years Schwieder was held at Moose Creek Ranch in Victor Idaho, I fell in love with this beautiful place, each family had their own cabin, which had a kitchen furnished with everything so if you wanted to cook, then there was a Lodge where everyone met for breakfast and activities, I loved the huge meeting room and it even had a separate sitting room. The Miller family was in charge of it this year and they did a wonderful job, we had such a fun time visiting with those we haven't seen for two years and missed those who weren't there. Can't wait till the next reunion in two years, us Westergard's are in charge and I will have my whole family together again.

Haacke Party

We had a Haacke Wacky get together while I was in Utah, I love getting together with my sisters, nieces, nephews and all of their children, since I live out of State I don't get to see them very often and even though its just a short get together, I know how important it is to keep family together and its something Mom and Dad wanted us to do is stay close and keep contact with one another. I love all my family and miss those who were not there with us very much!

At the Schwieder reunion we went on a never ending (it seemed) hike up to a monument where Aunt Jeans girls camp went 50 years ago. There was a terrible storm that came in and 4 girls and 1 yw leader was killed by lightening. They build a monument in their honor and when we finally reached the destination Aunt Jean shared her story of what happened. It was very hard for her to relive those memories, being in Young Women's I can't imagine going through something like that, it was beautiful and so worth all the hard climbing and walking to see the beautiful waterfalls and valley below.

View from top of the mountain

I made it to the top to see the wind caves, to much water coming out to go in. This was where the young women and 1 priesthood leader went in the day of the storm, when then Brother Miller was the last out he saw the storm and tried to yell at the girls to get out from under the trees, that when the lightening struck where the girls were, it threw him and was knocked out.

pretty waterfall almost to the top.

Monument dedicated to the leader and girls.

We came upon snow.

So beautiful and green.

loved this waterfall
