New York - Day 2

The second day we were in New York it rained, hard. So we walked around town with our umbrellas and tried to find shops to go into and do some serious shopping. I didn't take a lot of pictures cause we mostly spend our time walking and trying to find our way around. We did go into this Hollister Store that was 3 stories, there were live models standing around that had less clothes on than the fake mannequins. We also went into the Apple Store, the outside was this glass cubical and then you walk down the stairs and it was packed with people and to even get assistance it was a 2 hour wait. We went to Magnolias Bakery and got us some yummy cupcakes, my favorite was the red velvet ones and the pumpkin were pretty good too. We went by Radio City, Ive always wanted to go there and see the Rockets Christmas Show, we were about a month early.

This place was huge.

I loved this Apple Store.

Inside the Apple Store, had to walk down these stairs to get to the store.

Magnolia Baker, I don't think he wanted me to take a picture.

New York -Day 1

I have to say that New York was everything that I was hoping it to be, I would never want to live there but already want to go back and again. Being there 8 days I still didn't get to see everything, and we did see a lot. One of the things I wanted to do the most was go down to Rockefeller Plaza on Friday morning and watch them tape the Today show and see the concert they have every Friday. So we did, I was disappointed cause Matt and Meredith were not there, but my favorite country performer Tim McGraw performed, what are the chances?? I couldn't believe it, he sang a song from his new album, very good. We then headed out to explore NY, we walked so much that I thought my feet were going to fall off. We went into the St. Patricks Cathedral, it is amazing how big this church is, the windows and ceiling were beautiful. They had just opened the ice skating rink a couple of weeks ago, so we sat and watched the people ice skate. We went to this huge candy store "Dylan's Candy Bar", it has three floors of yummy candy and everything else you could want, loved it. We then went to Serendipity for some lunch and of course the famous frozen hot chocolate and it was very good and what made it better was with peanut butter, as our waiter would say "its ridiculous" every thing that was good he would say that. As we were walking back to our Hotel we came across a photo shoot they were doing with these male models, so of course I took pictures. We ended the day by going to see a broadway show "Mary Poppins", it was so good and the special effects were amazing and I loved the music. The person who played Mary had an incredible voice it was like listening to Julie Andrews, kinda. We went to our hotel and collapsed.

Catching Up!!

These past few months have been pretty crazy around here, I haven't had time to post some things, so here is what has been going on around hour house lately.... Except my New York pictures, those will be coming soon.

Chelsie & Doug blessed their sweet girl Brookelyn

Eating yummy pie that Carrie made.

Cute Bayleigh

Candace, Lexi and Grandma Westergard

We had everyone over for Kell's birthday and had Mexican food from Matta's, they have the best salsa and chips. JaKelle wanted cupcakes from "Sprinkles" so we went to Scottsdale to get them and YES it was worth the drive, their red velvet were YUM-O.

Blowing out the candles.

The Family!

They had them decorated really cute, I couldn't fit them all on the rack.

Cute purse Kell got for her birthday.

Cute Bow Necklace.

Cute Lindblom Family .

I can't believe this girl is 15.

Every year my sisters and I take a trip up to Wyoming to my in-laws cabin. We always have a lot of fun, playing games, eating, watching scary movies and of course shop. I look forward to this every year and am so grateful for my sisters.

The weather was warmer than I would of liked it, but it was beautiful. This is a view from the cabins balcony.

We carved pumpkins for family night, the kids always come up with cute designs. The sad thing is that the pumpkins were totally rotten 3 days later and had to be thrown away, joys of living in the heat.

Josh used my kitchen gloves to scrape the seeds out (good idea)

I bought electric pumpkin carvers in Wyoming, they worked pretty good.

Jared, Lexi, Kell and Josh (we did one for Jesse)

This is JaKelle's I thought it won the prize.

This was taken in a dark room and the pumpkins were lit, but you can't tell that.

Josh started carving something but he ended up making it a moon shape, good save Josh.

Jared and Lexi's cute designs.
