June Dance Recital

Excuse me while I brag a little bit, JaKelle had her last dance recital last week, I didn't handle it very well after it was over I found myself blubbering out of control. I did manage to get a few pictures of her and a few of her favorite people. I was so proud of her, she did such a awesome job and looked so beautiful in all 10 dances, we have been going to dance now for 10 years and maybe just maybe I can talk her into going back (hint hint Kell). Your a beautiful dancer sweetie and we can't wait for you to show us what you got in cheer. They don't allow us to video any dances, they video it and we buy the DVD, but here are a few pictures.

Neat Video!

This is a video that was submitted in a contest by a 20 year old. The contest was titled "u @ 50", by the AARP. This video won second place. When they showed it, everyone in the room was awe-struck and broke into spontaneous applause. So simple and yet so brilliant. Take a minute and watch.

Happy Birthday Sis!!

Today is my sister Carol's birthday.  She is on of the most generous and caring people I know.  I wish we could see more of each other but since she is in Utah that doesn't happen.  I still try to convince her to move to warm sunny AZ.  I enjoy our yearly trips to Wyoming and this last trip we were there for Halloween, one thing we have in common is we both love Halloween.  We all dressed like witches and she was the best witch I have seen.  Thanks Carol for being my big sister and a great friend.  Your such a good mom and I love you very much.

Disney World Trip

This past week we took a trip to Orlando Florida, I am a Disneyland lover and what could be better??? Yes, Disney World!!!  I had no clue how big this place was and that they had 4 different parks, including two water parks and I think the thing that surprised me the most was the Epcot Center. That was one of my favorite places to go, its really hard to get into different Countries for dinner, especially when you wait to long to make reservations, like we did. But we got into Germany and Italy, they were both excellent but I have to say that Germany was my favorite. They had a buffet of food and it was all so good, lots of sauerkraut, even had dumplings but not as good as Moms.

We stayed at the Grand Floridian a beautiful hotel that was Victorian Style looking. I have to say that the best part was coming back after a long day of walking and finding your bed pulled down for you with squares of chocolate left on the bed. I loved spending time with my kids, even though they are all grown up and we had no little kiddos, we still got excited to be at Disney World, the happiest place ever. Here are some pictures hope it doesn't get to long.

Hat day, it rained so hard and was 85% humidity.

Happy Birthday to my Mom!

Mom would be 82 today, its hard to believe she has been gone now for 4 years. There are so many times I want to pick up the phone and call her, whether it be for help on a recipe or to just talk and she always would just listen and make me feel better, always understanding and never judged. She was a caring nurse and worked in many hospitals and treated anyone who came to our house. I remember when growing up, many people would come over just so they could sit and talk with my Mom. She was always so generous to others. Thank You Mom for all that you taught me. I love you and miss you!
